I had a shoot with Flashtastic in a hotel room near my home last week. It was really good! Fetish themed with some interesting loaned pieces, I really enjoyed it! It's always a little nerve racking shooting bondage with a new photographer. Once the restraints go on there's always the worried voice in the back of my head thinking 'what if it all goes horribly wrong?' Thankfully that moment of doubt only lasted a split second. We had another go at shooting with the violet wand, this time the lighting worked and his camera really picked up that beautiful, purple light. He asked me just to mess with it and he'd snap away.. have to admit I got a little lost in it for a while. I kept coming round to find he was adjusting the lights or checking the back of the camera but didn't want to tell me and interrupt.. lol. He inquired about my personal fetishes and the use of the equipment in the most respectful manner, which was quite refreshing! Usually people don't understand or want to understand these things, or feel that because I enjoy them personally they can make all sorts of inappropriate comments. I felt totally comfortable discussing it with him though. He's also said that I can have some of the images from the shoot, can't wait to see them!
I spent that night with a friend and then had my family visiting at the weekend for Mothers day. That was the highlight of March for me! I've not seen them since Christmas so it was brilliant having them around. My house mate even looked after my nocturnal brother while I spent some quality time with my mum. Very good weekend Unfortunately I dropped the ball arranging shoots while my mum was visiting and it meant I missed a lot of the paid opportunities I had for this week. I did have my Fullers Earth shoot with Flash Bang Wallop! yesterday though.. so much fun!
I got to the studio in my scruffs, stripped off and then had Charlotte cover me in clay. She hadn't used the material before so I was impressed with her application of it. It went all over my face and neck with extra layers to cover my chest, she even made a crown of the clay and combed it back through my hair. Once it had dried a little she threw (yes threw!) setting powder all over me, we let it dry a little more and then FBW came and threw flour all over me too. Then we got to colouring the clay. She flicked coloured powder all over me and then also paint too. I've not seen myself look like that before, the clay made me look bald and the paint really wild. It was a really odd look for me, but I think I like it. The inspiration was the work of Stefan so I posed like a possessed person, screaming into the light. Cleaning up the clay took longer than the actual shoot and the clay stuck to my hair til I got home and could have a shower. I can't wait to see the photos!
I know I keep talking about move prep with no results. The whole thing is getting to me now and it's stressing me out a lot. Hopefully I'll have news on it soon though!
